Well the basics are done. Except for a bit of tweaking here and there, this is my site and this is my blog. I’ve never had a website or a blog before. As true authentic windbag, I could talk your ear off on variety of subjects but, until now, I never felt the need for an online version. Now as I continue to work to advance my career as portrait and wedding photographer, I feel that people need to get to know me.
When you live in a small town like Outlook, a sense of isolation can set in. Don’t get me wrong, I grew up in a town even smaller than Outlook and am a country guy at heart. Rural Saskatchewan is a place that instills you with a love for nature. I could live in a city if I had to but buildings, traffic, concrete and asphalt can never replace the rolling hills and the wide sweep of the land or the song of the meadow lark. The romance of the city is lost on me.
So here I am at the start of a long road and where it ends is anybody’s guess. I know some of the places I am determined that it will take me. I want people who are looking for a photographer to shoot their portrait or wedding to get to know me. As the renowned photographer Rick Sammon is fond of saying, “The camera looks both ways.” If we get to know each other, and have good rapport, we will make some beautiful pictures.
